IPTV Installation Guide: Set Up on Any Device

This IPTV installation guide shows you how to set up the official app of your streaming service on every popular device. The steps are the same for almost any licensed live TV or on-demand service: install the app from the official store, sign in with your account, then fine-tune picture and sound. Not sure your device is compatible? Check the supported devices list first.

Before you install

1. Create your account on the provider’s official website and note your email and password.
2. Check that your device is supported and has the latest software update.
3. Make sure your internet speed is enough: see our speed guide.
4. Install apps only from the official store of your device. Never sideload apps from unknown websites.

Smart TV (Samsung, LG, Google TV)

1. Press the Home button and open the app store (Samsung Apps, LG Content Store or Google Play on Google TV).
2. Search for the name of your service and select the official app.
3. Choose Install, then open the app.
4. Sign in, or use the activation code shown on screen at the provider’s website.

Tip: on older TVs that no longer receive app updates, a streaming stick is usually the easiest fix.

Amazon Fire TV Stick

1. From the Home screen, select Find, then Search.
2. Type the name of your service and select the official app from the Amazon Appstore.
3. Select Get or Download, then Open.
4. Sign in with your account details.

Android TV and Android phones

1. Open the Google Play Store.
2. Search for your service and check that the developer name matches the provider.
3. Tap Install, then Open.
4. Sign in. On Android TV you can often sign in faster with a code on your phone.

iPhone, iPad and Apple TV

1. Open the App Store on your iPhone, iPad or Apple TV.
2. Search for your service and select the official app.
3. Tap Get, then open the app and sign in.
4. On Apple TV, enable Match Frame Rate in Settings for smoother video.

Roku

1. Press Home and go to Streaming Channels or Search.
2. Find your service in the Roku Channel Store.
3. Select Add Channel, then open it from the Home screen.
4. Sign in or activate with the code shown on screen.

PlayStation and Xbox

1. Open the PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store.
2. Search for your service in the TV and video section.
3. Download the app and sign in.
4. Use a wired connection if your console is near the router.

Windows and Mac

Most services work in a web browser: go to the provider’s official website and sign in. Some also offer an app in the Microsoft Store or the Mac App Store. Keep your browser updated for the best video quality.

Troubleshooting after installation

1. App won’t open: restart the device and check for app and system updates.
2. Video buffers: test your speed and follow our buffering fixes.
3. Login fails: reset your password on the provider’s official website.
